Over the course of 6 days and 14 dives to depths averaging about 70 ft (and the deepest being 120 ft), this case performed admirably well with no leaks whatsoever. At the end of each day I would open the case and download my photos and video from that day, so the case was opened and closed quite a bit. It's very sturdy and ruggedly built and will protect your camera from being damaged. I accidently dropped it a couple of times on the dock and on the boat and it didn't even leave a scratch. The included diffuser snaps in place securely and works very well. The Canon 300 HS camera fits like a glove in this case and the buttons line up perfectly. Not only did it completely protect my camera in a waterproof, sandproof, airtight seal, the lens also works really well when taking photos in bright sunlight. Snorkeling photos and underwater videos were stunning. The case is entirely custom-built for the Elph 300. My friends have other Elph models and the orientation of the buttons/controls on this case did not fit their cameras. For the Elph 300, everything fit like a glove. The camera senses when it is in the case and gives you the option of several "outdoor" settings to use (bright sunlight/snow/underwater). At the beach, I leave the case on to protect the camera from the elements. The Elph is a superior digital camera -- this case allows you to take that quality into the great outdoors without worrying about damaging the camera itself.
