Axis makes better PoE cameras but they are much more expensive. The great thing about PoE cameras is that you can have several cameras around the house, the cameras draw power from the Cat5 network cable, you have all these network cables go back to a central location where the PoE switch is located. If you have the PoE switch on a UPS battery backup, then all the cameras will still work in the event of a power failure, good for a home security setup. The lens that comes with the camera has a rather narrow field of view, if the camera is in a smallish room you will need a wider angle lens to see the entire room.
